The history of the Descendants of Elder John Strong, of Northampton, Mass., By Benjamin Woodbridge Dwight, Albany, NY, Joel Munsell, 1871 

 

The descendants of Jonathan Clarke, and Sarah Strong, represent more lines of Strong descent than any others of Elder John Strong's descendants, so far as the author has observed. 

1. They are descended twice from Mary Strong, wife of Dea John Clark, of Northampton — through Nathaniel Clark, their son, and Mary Clark their daughter (wife of Benjamin Edwards), whose dau. Thankful Edwards, m. Jonathan Clark, son of Nathaniel. 

2. (They are descended also from Elizabeth Strong, sister of Mary above, wife of Esq. Joseph Parsons, of Northampton, whose daughter Jemima Parsons, m. Samuel Kingsley, Jr. 

3. & 4. They are the descendants likewise of Jedediah and Thomas (brothers of Mary and Elizabeth) through Aaron Strong (son of Preserved who was son of Jedediah) and Rachel Strong (dau. of Justice Joseph Strong, son of Thomas).
