Verne S. Ray is celebrating 90 years of life. He was born June 17, 1923.

He is a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

In May of 1942, he married Betty V. Hughart. She is deceased.

He worked as a union sheet metal worker.

Verne has two daughters, Vicky (Harold) Chilcoat and Friday (David) Ramsey.

He has four grandchildren, Eric (Noelle) Chilcoat, Kyle (Krista) Chilcoat, Carra (Randy) Roth and Timothy Ramsey.

Verne is also blessed with eight great-grandchildren Emma, Ansley, Zoe, Adara and Rayna Chilcoat, and Jack, Vivian and Eleanor Roth.

A family celebration will be held today.
