    "Peter immigrated with his parents in 1635 aboard the 'Elizabeth'. They settled in Roxbury, MA. After his father's death, his mother lived with his family and he then inherited her land in the 'Nookes next to Dorchester'. Peter was one who subscribed towards the support [stet] of Roxbury's Free School.

    Peter was a merchant, sometimes exporting Rhode Island tobacco to England and importing commodities. Peter ended up on court several times due to his business. Once was to collect from the sale of a large shipment of tobacco to England. And other was against Timothy Proutt for not delivering rum from Barbados. in 1679 he was licensed to sell retail cider.

    Peter married CROOKE, Rebecca on 9 May 1646 in Roxbury, Suffolk Colony, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Colonial America. Rebecca (daughter of CROOKE, Roger and Sara) was born in 1626; died on 10 Jun 1675 in Roxbury, Suffolk Colony, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Colonial America; was buried on 11 Jun 1675 in Roxbury, Suffolk Colony, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Colonial America.
