    Notes:

Isaac Milton Collins is *NOT* -- repeat -- **NOT** by 2nd great-grandfather although I had been told for years he was. Nor was the man (surname BRAY) his father -- it looks like Bray was never even IN Missouri.

Isaac Milton Collins was orphaned when he was a few weeks old (in my family story he was 3 weeks old). Both his parents died. The ROOKS brought him up. Through much research, I found the Rooks daughter was his mother. Thus his grandparents raised him. My grandparents (Coffman's) talked about the Rooks family all the time when I was a little girl. I always wondered why but as a child, little girls did *not* ask questions about an adult-only conversation.

More research showed that Isaac was a very popular name for this family. All of this was uncovered in the last few years (2019-).
