1572 | South Carolina or North Carolina -- more info is needed before determining which birth 'state' is correct. I sincerely doubt that New Jersey is correct. Another Daniel McCollum was from the Carolina's and was a Revolutionary War soldier but he died in Georgia. The census records do not make it clear but it is almost 99% surety that the GA Rev soldier is *not* my Daniel McCollum. | MCCOLLUM, Daniel Unproven lineage (I1182)

1587 | Surname is also found as LEVINGSTON. The birthdate is based on the 1830 census that has a male in the 50-59. Possibly served in the War of 1812. A record exists on Fold3 along with a Land Grant More research is needed. ----------- 6/18/2020 - I removed Thomas Livingston b. 1740 VA d. 1810 KY from the tree. I can find NOTHING that validates or even hints that he was John's father. Below are the notes from Thomas Livingston: -- There is a court record from Augusta Co ? that says Thomas and his brother are orphans of Robert Livingston. -- I do not believe Nancy Bryant Taliferro (sp?)is his wife. She WAS married to a Thomas Livingston and they had 3 sons, Thomas was not named as one of the 3. -- If this Thomas WAS an orphan it would explain why the ancestry research pretty much stops at John. https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/b/e/c/Gordon-L-Beck-CO/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0077.html --------------- | LIVINGSTON, John ✓ (I1171)
