See https://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A2005.05.0028%3Achapter%3D14%3Asection%3Dc.14.3 This is the only ship I could find that went down near Formosa (Taiwan) in 1863. 605 | Believe his son DEFINITELY was named Isaac but am having doubts on the North Carolina data. !!!!!DAR no longer approves this John TRAVIS is son of Champion TRAVIS. THEREFORE, I HAVE REMOVED HIM & ELIZABETH BOUSH AS PARENTS. Have not deleted them. 5/16/2020 1:32am HOWEVER, SADLY, I cannot get "any" verification that Champion Travis' son, John Travis is THIS man. ****John TRAVIS is my 4th great-grandfather but wives need to be verified. A wife named Sarah was listed living with him in the 1850 census at their son Isaac (George Isaac) home. There is another marriage of a John Travis to Elizabeth Oliver but I do not know if this is the same John Travis. There is another John Travis married Sarah CHURCH, dau of Edward Church, his firstborn. 5/1/2020 Fold3 has a company payroll record for a TRAVIS, John in the 5 Virginia Regiment (Revolutionary War) as a Drum Major in Capt. Burges Ball's Co of the 5th Virginia Regiment. Serving from April 1 to May 1, 1777. And from Nov 28, 1776 to April 1, 1777, from Sep 28 to Oct 28, 1776. Oct 28 to Nov 28, 1776. Ergo, he served from Nov 28, 1776 until May 1, 1777. John would have been only 8 years old. https://www.fold3.com/image/22964262 | TRAVIS, John ✓ (I392)

| BIRTH - FindaGrave has her birth in Frederick County, Maryland. Deleting that birth fact. The QUAKER meeting record lists two other Clevengers, neither were Wm. Thomas. | ACKER, Francis (I426)
| Birth location of Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany is not correct. The date & location are from Grandma Hansmann's Bible and from the A.R. Hansman's Chronicles. NOTE: ONCE HAVE PIC OF GRAVESTONE SHE IS COMPLETE UNTIL I START ADDING IN A.R.'s PICS SHE IS IN. Grandma's Bible states she died in Moundridge, Kansas on January 25, 1832 and was buried in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Later in another typed copy, her birthdate is July 22, 1849 in Oldenburg. She had 8 children according to G'ma H Bible. She had 9 that I have found documented. | BAUMBERGER, Auguste Johanne Louise (I32187658496)

| Birth: Other "sources" state he was born in 1772 in Kentucky. I believe that was taken from a single census. His wife was born in KY; he was not. Kentucky is also listed as birth state on FindaGrave. But again, believe is incorrect. The only "documented" source of KY birth was a single census. In all other documented he was born in PA. Since FindAGrave does not have an image of the gravestone, going with other documentation. | ROOKS, Joseph Henry (I287)
| Birth: Perhaps Leon didn't remember where he was born as Chula, Milan and Trenton, MO are all given. Since his father never lived in Trenton or Milan, I have concluded that Chula was the correct location. | LIVINGSTON, Leon Clifton ✓ (I107)
| Birth: Russell's mother died at his birth or shortly thereafter. I believe this is his correct birthdate and the death date for Frances, his mother, is incorrect. | LIVINGSTON, Russell Junior ✓ (I112)
| Birth: The 1630 date | WYETH, Sarah "Sary" (I354)
| Birth: The American Genealogical-Biographical Index has birth year as 1669 | KING, Joseph ✓ (I448)
| Birth: The gravestone has 14 Mar 1865; however, I believe that was based on the date of birth on the death certificate which has the WRONG birth year. She died on 6 Sep 1932 and was 70 years, 6 months and 23 days old. 1932 - 70 = 1862 not 1865. | UPCHURCH, Henrietta Francis ✓ (I157)
| Birth: Using 1570 as birth date believing FindAGrave and the marriage records is the most correct. Other dates were 1566 and 1568. | RAMSFORD, Emma (I411)

| Cannot find a cause of death. Have researched to see if he was a member of the U.S.Navy--could not find anything. Did find a reference that an "Affidavit of Caleb H Smith, Captain of the 'Annie Buchanan' Hong Kong Dis..." [from a snippet on Google Books]. Further research: the ship, Annie Buchanan, was a barque (also called a bark or barc). A barque is "a sailing ship, typically with three masts, in which the foremast and mainmast are square-rigged and the mizzenmast is rigged fore-and-aft." Another Google Books snippet provided that a Richard Russell on the ship "Success" was awarded for saving a second mate carpenter and 11 crew of the Annie Buchanan. This implies that the AB sunk but no records have been found yet to confirm this. Could this be the Australian prison ship, Success? In the time period of Caleb's death, there were major discords between two Chinese factions. But there was also a cholera epidemic in Shanghai during the months around April of 1862. | SMITH, Caleb Hiorns (I339)

| Copied from FindAGrave: "Spouse: Sarah Webber (1711-1774) m. 2 Aug 1732 Boston (She may be the Sarah Webber born at Boston 26 Aug 1713). Capt William Sherrard was a member of the Charitable Irish Society in Boston 1739. He died at sea from illness, the Tuesday before 22 Aug 1768, aged 57 y. Capt William was delivering goods to Jamaica upon Capt James Dalton's brigantine, the "Polly", and was on his way back to Boston when he fell ill "for a few days" before succumbing to his death. The previous bill of lading was dated 17 Nov 1767, and the testimony by John Roberts was after. ~ Dalton Family Papers [I have a copy of that.] On 10 Jul 1768, an appeal was made to James Dalton for monies owed to Capt Sherrard, but it was marked "deceased". I think John Roberts testimony of Capt Sherrard's death is out of sequence, I believe this paper may have been an agreement/contract by Capt Sherrard and Capt Dalton before he sailed July/August 1768, Bill of Lading missing. Mary Sherrard that married Samuel Jenner of Charlestown may be a daughter. | SHERRARD, Capt William (I712)
