751 H.Hansmann's Genealogy p.68 spells her given name as "Lina" but he often spelled Atens Germany as Atins. HANSMANN, Lena Marie (I212228480045)

752 H.Hansmann's Genealogy, p. 23 has "grandpa's mother" to the right of her name. APFEL, Wubke Margarethe (I32007027149)

758 Have only two references to Buster LIVINGSTON.
1) In a Milan, MO Nov 1941 newspaper tidbit saying that he "and family" had moved to Milan.
2) In a Chillicothe, MO Aug 1927 newspaper that his hand had been crushed while doing road construction. Another article in the same issue says the road was between Chillicothe and Trenton.

My mother had mentioned him in a conversation with me. I asked her what his real name was and she did not know. His exact date of birth is unknown. He was old enough in 1927 to be working on a road crew. So, if he was only 16, his birth year would be 1911. Uncle Everett, Mother's youngest full brother was born in 1908.

There was a family rumor that another woman, the sister of Frances May, also lived with them and that he impregnated her while Zorada was dying. Could this be a child of that union? That would put the birth date from 1909 to 1911.

No record of it in Missouri birth records but their father did not record *any* of his children's births. It's possible that Virginia Frances MAY was *not* his mother since she died in 1920. William LIVINGSTON was not a man true to his wives. Buster may be a nickname.
LIVINGSTON, Buster ✓ (I118)

759 He "...died on Cemetery Ridge when the Battalion in which he was a member was ordered to attack and secure the first line of trenches (Civil War)." (from a family letter) Her father came as an immigrant from Holland. He was Dutch. UPCHURCH, Henry S ✓ (I1180)

760 He is listed as fourth child.

But on p. 54 of H.Hansmann's Genealogy he is listed as second child.
ISAAR, Moritz August (I212228281697)

761 He is Verified but no longer as my 2nd great-grandfather. His obit has no mention of Eliza nor does any of the census have these two people together.
-------------
THE FACT IS I ASSUMED that because Milton was in so many Coffman family pictures --well, you can guess the rest. Eliza was born when he was only 15 years old.

I now have found who I believe is her father. Milton is related to her father but working out now how. Cousin? Nephew? 24-Apr-2020
--------------
is granddaughter told the family that his parents died 3 weeks after he was born on August 14, 1840. Wouldn't they be in the 1840 census? He was raised by an older couple who he thought of as grandparents. Further research found him in the home of Joseph ROOKS and they were his grandparents. I have been unable to find the name of Joseph's daughter who was his mother.
COLLINS, Isaac Milton ✓ (I446)

762 He was discharged as an invalid because of the wound he received at the Battle of Stone's Creek. He eventually died of that injury. BASCUM, Silas J (Jr) (I1893)

763 He was married. An unknown source gave her name as Locie A WINSLOW. Found a 1930 census entry for that name in St. Joseph, MO.

There are several marriage entries in Colorado Springs but not sure the William C LIVINGSTON is mother's half-brother.
LIVINGSTON, William Carl ✓ (I175)

764 He went by Harmon all his life. The only reference found with his first name was in his father's will. Most of the men in his family as well as his sons also went by their middle name.

I do not believe he knew the date of his birth -- not even the month. He was the last child of Abraham Coffman who was born in Virginia.

He may not be in the 1840 census. It's possible that Elender had died (I have not found any record of her death or burial.) and he was living with a brother or sister, parents, etc.

There is an Ann Eliza Coffman (father Harmon) m Wm Kennedy but found her death certificate. She was listed as "colored".

766 Henry Smith died of typhoid fever while serving in the 44th Missouri Infantry of the Union Army during the Civil War at Camp Lyon, Rolla, Phelps County, Missouri. ~ Unknown source. SMITH, Henry (I313)

767 her 2nd marriage; age 59. Family: WEBB, James W / SMITH, Ellen Gore (F135)

768 Her birth date is incorrect on death certificate. Used FTM date calculator to figure birth date based on date of death (2 Mar 1918) & she was 57y 2m 3d old at her death. KENDALL, Leonora (I943)

769 Her death certificate lists 14 Nov 1824 as her birth date. DUDLEY, Mary Jane (I24)

770 Her name appeared with family on 1870 census as McDowel, Martha E & her occupation "At home" which was the same as all the other children. She also attended school in the last year.

But the fact hints no record for marriage to McDowel.
MCDOWELL, Martha E (I1451)

771 Her obit has her mother as Martha ISHMAEL which means Aaron was married twice. ISHMAEL, Mary Ellen (I564)

772 Her parents were John and Elizabeth BRIGHAM STOW. STOW, Keziah (I83)

773 Her picture is in her obit. HENTSCHEL, Irene Esther (I32351318355)

774 Her SS# was 495-54-4442.

See media for more information.

SANFORD, Melvina "Vina" Verilla ★ (I450)

775 Her tombstone records her date of birth as 1 Nov 1966; however, the 1970 census states she was 2 years old.
An entry in my Old C-L tree has born 11 Nov 1867 Stoney Creek, Randolph County, IN.

779 His age was listed as 44 on his marriage to Susan Woodring Coffman, born in Hardin Co, KY and a widower. RICHARDSON, Isaac E (I801)

780 His birth and death dates are from a FindAGrave with burial in Grundy County, Missouri. The birth year of 1811 was chosen over the one listed in FAG. In the resource book about Randolph County is a list of John & Nancy's children in order of birth. He was born *after* Elizabeth Jane "Elia", 1809 and Nancy born 31 May 1812.

The remaining hints are all re his marriage to Elizabeth CHRISMAN.
CLEVENGER, James (I43)

781 His father is not Moses Bartlett Powers. He was born in Maine. According to the 1900 census for Charles, his father was born in New York. POWERS, Charles Howard (I32187658497)

782 His first name was spelled Lewis. But was recorded as Louis in the 1910 census and Louis W in the 1920 census.
Note: Lindley is in two counties, Grundy & Sullivan.

Lewis' Bible has marriage date of July 8, 1880. Have not added his Bible to sources yet.
COFFMAN, Lewis Walker ★ (I403)

783 His given name might be Ira. Several Ira COLLINS are in Missouri at the right time but none close to Grundy County.

Since he is not listed in the 1870 census and he would have been only 13 at the time, I believed he died between circa 1861-1869.
COLLINS, Irwa (I670)

784 His name & marriage infro from Grandma Hansmann's Bible.

John S and John Leonard may be the same person.
HUXMAN, John Peter (I32007027095)

785 His name is shown on almost ALL records as Nathan. Only one or two show Nathaniel.

Birth: Yates Publishing as only the year of birth, 1724. More sources point to 16 Sep 1728 as correct.

Marriage: Year of marriage recorded 1749, 1750, 1751 depending on the source.

790 His wife was Sarah.
According to GeneticLincoln research WOODBRIDGE might have been a prior marriage for Sarah. Ergo CAMPBELL would have been her maiden name.

https://geneticlincoln.com/hanks-surname-dna-project/ quote:
"Although it has been widely accepted, there is no source evidence documenting Sarah's surname to be Woodbridge. Also, this may not have been Sarah's first marriage. From the research of Nancy C. Royce: <em>On 1 Oct 1690 William and Sarah Hanks to Alex Campbell, natural son of sd. Sarah to abide with Sarah and William and Sarah to provide him with sufficient clothing. 794 Husband's surname spelled BALES and BEALS.
Marriage: Believe the 27 Sep is the license date and the 29 Sep is the actual wedding date.
ROOKS, Sarah Dorcas (I597)

795 Husband's surname WALTZ came from a MyHeritage tree with no documentation. Added to see if I can prove or disprove. ROOKS, Charity (I594)

796 I am not sure how Mathilde fits in but her name and Heinrich (3) came from German records. Page 50 of H.Hansmann's Genealogy had no birth/death dates for the 5 children.

I believe that she is not the mother of all the children. Hard to tell with no birth dates. Emil seems to have a birth record but his mother is listed as Wilhelmina. Further research needed.
MEYER, Anna Catharine Magarethe (I212228278222)

797 I believe he found in the Revolutionary War but there is an astonishing number of "Joseph Morses" who did the same. It will take time to determine. Critical is his wife's name -- if he married. MORSE, Joseph (I60)

798 I believe some of the children that are in H.Hansmann's genealogy are associated with the incorrect father. BARELMANN, Johanne Catharine (I32007027121)

799 I believe the entries in several records for his given name of Sebastian is due to the writer or transcriber believing that Sebas was an abbreviation. However, Sebas was his given name. He was born at sea while his parents in route to America. Sebas apparently means Sea-Born or Seaborn. Alternative spelling is Sebeas

Jonathan JACKSON is his brother. Source: see under the Baker name.

Birth: Exact year of birth isn't for certain. However, the arrival date in summer of 1643 for his father, Edward JACKSON is what I believe to be the best date for his birth. Other birth years documented are 1635, 1641, 1642, 1650.

800 I have found little about Zorada's life up to the age of 15. She became pregnant and married less than a month after her 16th birthday. From that day on, her life was not a happy one. William believed in barefoot, pregnant & in the kitchen. While there are no records of miscarriages between the birth of her six living children, I'm sure she had several. I have no pictures of her & there are no records found thus from her marriage date. My mother was only three when her mother died and she always got tears in her eyes when she rarely talked about Zorada.

From Frank Livingston family; Connie Livingston (wife) notes, obtained from her daughter Jo Ann McCormack, have Zorada middle name Myrtle. Frank told Jo Ann that he remembered that his mother had a big growth on her side (before she died). Research has shown that her middle name was Eva.

Name: Apparently she was called Zoradie as a nickname. But her name was NEVER Zoradia which is on her tombstone. That was erected at William Livingston's death by his "other" children. Mother and her brothers & sister were NOT asked. Mother was so upset by this and seeing how much it bothered her, I rarely brought it up. My dad entered her name on mother's obituary as Zorado (which is masculine). I could have had it changed but he took my mother's death very hard. I chose not to upset him -- it would have. Bless him, he was 150% he was right and the man would never have thought otherwise.
SINCLAIR, Zorada Eva ✓ (I424)
