The Coffman-Livingston & Peach-Hansman Families
IdoGenealogy's Family Research
Notes:
(Hodgenville map, Section 4-M-46 Carter coordinates) The Red Hill Cemetery is located near the site where Robert Hodgen's mill once stood and this old part of the cemetery seems to date back to the late 1830s. The old original section is located on a hill with bright red clay soil. Thus, the burial ground took its name. The hill fosters a good growth of pine trees and is the final resting place of many of Hodgenville's early settlers. Together, the trees and the aging tombstones have seen a county born, while an old gristmill died. ~ Source: http://www.interment.net/data/us/ky/larue/red_hill.htm
